Polish equity market in 2016

Past twelve months on Polish equity market were diversified in terms of performance. Poor beginning in January, which was the continuation of 2015 downturn, reached its bottom after S&P rating update – decline from A- to BBB+. In the first quarter of 2016 WSE indices had gained ca. 10% but then they started to decline ahead of Brexit referendum. UK referendum results announced at the end of June were evaluated as negative, nevertheless it had neither meaningful nor longstanding impact on stock markets. Two weeks after Brexit, Polish equity market embarked on a growth path, which lasted till the end of the year.
